Blog Indiana 2008

by: Thomas

Sat Aug 16, 2008 at 12:39:58 PM EDT

I've finally made my way to the Blog Indiana Conference and am, of all things, hangin' with the Republican blogger table. A good turnout, by the looks of it.

I'll report back after this panel I'm supposedly participating in.

Thomas with the cap (4.00 / 1)
I attended the politics session but was disappointed by the brevity and shallowness of the discussion. I was surprised the the size of the crowd there: 150 people or so. Doug Masson attended as well as videorecorded the scene - it's up on his often-good blog: http://www.masson.us/blog/?p=3506

My iPhone got a decent snapshot of the panel. That "radical moderate" Ruth Holladay is sitting next to Thomas who's wearing (indoors!!!) the cap...

I've got styles... (4.00 / 1)
...what can I say?

omg.. (4.00 / 1)
I knew Thomas had to be a hottie due to his opinions.. but.. swoon!

And what is it with bloggers that they have to have facial hair?

BTW.. if bloggers are on a panel, does that mean that they'll probably also be live-blogging while talking?

Facial hair (4.00 / 1)
Ruth Holladay is a tad butch but she has little observable facial hair...

Actually, I think Thomas would be much more the hottie without his beard ...

About live-blogging: I saw a number of folk with open laptops at the session but sadly IU doesnt have free public WiFi in that building. Perhaps paying attendees were given temporary access to their network?

Oh goodness... (4.00 / 1)
1) Phone pictures should not be used to judge anything.

2) I think the blogger-facial hair connection has more to do with a lack of personal hygiene than any premeditated thematic decision.

3) I look like I'm 14 without the aforementioned Taliban motif.

4) I lucked out by being an IU student, I guess. I didn't have any idea that wireless access was an issue yesterday -- my laptop connected without any prompting.

You're definitely a hottie... (0.00 / 0)
...and KEEP the facial hair.  ;)

Yes, even Democratic authority.
