You can call it the calm before the storm, or whatever else floats your metaphorical boat, but the afternoon doldrums are upon us as people head to the polls and the news cameras stock up on B-roll.
Don't worry! There is plenty to waste your time with as we slowly but surely move toward 6pm, so here are a few things to keep you occupied until the first races are called.
- Hey slacker! If you haven't already voted for our friends over at The Bilerico Project, you need to get on that. Already cast your ballot? Remember that you can re-vote once every 24 hours, so don't miss an opportunity to give a little boost to Indiana's best GLBT blog, even if they are, like, totally famous now.
- Have you ever wondered how the powers that be come up with the bizarrely shaped congressional districts? Play the ReDistricting Game and find out.
- Feel free to visit some our friendly sponsors, who help keep Blue Indiana online: Michael Moore's SiCKOCure.org and ActNow.org.
- The writers may be on strike, but the Daily Show lives on in the hearts and minds of those who believe.
There are a few more YouTube clips below the fold, and feel free to add your own Election Day diversions in the comments.
