Ah, our good friend Tony Zirkle. Far and away my favorite candidate in recent years, Zirkle is probably best known for his pro-segregation, neo-Nazi endorsed campaign in the 2nd District Republican primary last year.
(A campaign, by the way, that garnered a sizable portion of the GOP vote despite Zirkle's, uh, idiosyncrisies.)
Zirkle, a former 2nd District congressional candidate, contacted The Tribune on Monday in response to being banned from practicing law for two years.
An order by the Indiana Supreme Court found Zirkle engaged in eight counts of professional misconduct, including improper billing practices, failure to refund fees, and charging clients for "incompetent services."
The order also cites Zirkle for reportedly lying about a client's whereabouts in court and in another case reading prospective jurors a news story that led to a mistrial.
In related news, Congressman Joe Donnelly is still without an opponent. I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'.
