Mark Souder is 100% correct

by: Thomas

Thu Nov 20, 2008 at 13:50:26 PM EST

I don't get to say this very often. Courtesy of the News-Sentinal:
"Right now, we're the party of 'greed and corruption,' " said Mark Souder, R-3rd District...
He blames part of their problem on "media hype," but generally the media doesn't hype corruption charges that don't exist. Just ask Sen. Ted Stevens...

The article says "partisan hype," but either way, (4.00 / 1)
it's still just a fill-in phrase to go along with "deviating from the pillars of conservatism."  It's stately, and he couldn't very well say it's the party identified with corruption and greed because of all the lying, cheating & stealing.  He calls it hype, I call it public record.  Notice how anti-abortion and anti-gay actions are the way to show strong moral values.  Rather than, say, honesty and accountability.

This needs to be repeated over and over and over again.

Yes, even Democratic authority.

and give the Congressman some room.  He's so rarely right.

I worry (0.00 / 0)
I worry anytime that I agree with Souder that I may have started into dementia or that I am WRONG on that issue.

'10 (0.00 / 0)
Any speculation as to Souder's '10 opponent?

I'll be old enough --- (0.00 / 0)
If anyone wants to lend me a cool half-million, I'll have a go.

(If I get a Hummer out of the deal, I'll even make a few trips to the district.)

A Hummer, Thomas? (0.00 / 0)

...if it's good enough for Montagano, it's good enough for me. :)

(I always thought that was a bizarre choice for him -- do they have a manufacturing presence in northeastern Indiana?)

Here is what DA thought you were saying...

At least I knew what you meant.

Hoosier Progressive

That had crossed my mind, Vox... (0.00 / 0)
...but I did settle on the more mundane idea that Thomas was referring to the gas guzzling automobile.  ;)

Hummers are built by AM General in Mishiwaka, IN. (Donnelly's district - but close to Goshen)  You could run, but you better study up first.

The last thing in the world... (0.00 / 0)
...I think I would ever want to do is run for office. Bleh.
