It's the Universe (2.00 / 2)
It's a karmic lesson to those "Democrats" who accused the Clintons of running a racist campaign.  It's a reminder to not be so stupid in bandying about charges of dirty campaigning.  The Republicans are going to teach you a thing or two about how it's done.

ELLSWORTH FOR SENATE 2010

Are you saying that Obama and the Democrats deserve this? (4.00 / 2)
I'm tempted to respond to your Clinton reference, but I think we'd both just end up pissing each other off.  ;)

"It is the first responsibility of every citizen to question authority."  --Benjamin Franklin

Yes, even Democratic authority.

Obama and Democrats in general, no (2.00 / 1)
But there are certain factions in the party that probably won't recognize this as the poetic justice that it is, definitely.

Well, I'm one of them. (0.00 / 0)
Neither poetic, nor just.

"It is the first responsibility of every citizen to question authority."  --Benjamin Franklin

Yes, even Democratic authority.

I can't tell you how many Little Hussein dolls I remember seeing at Hillary rallies.

No. There weren't any Little Hussein dolls. (4.00 / 1)
There were, however, suggestions that Obama was an inner-city drug dealer.

I will concede to you that McCain's campaign has exceeded the negativity of the Hillary campaign.  I will not, however, concede that her campaign contained no covert racism.  I don't think that came from Hillary, herself, but some of her surrogates.

To try to balance that and be fair, there was sexism in the primary campaign.  I still think that was underreported and under discussed.  I hope we'll get a chance to have that discussion again in the near future.

Yes, even Democratic authority.

Irony, maybe. (0.00 / 0)
Justice, poetic or otherwise? Nah.

Working in Muncie (4.00 / 1)
I saw plenty of the same racism through the primaries. We had "KKK" spray painted on our lawn signs and people calling our offices with very disturbing things to say (hint, every other word began with N and ended with an R). My good friends working for the Clinton office had plenty of "democrats" coming in saying they would never vote for a black man.  I don't know why you'd think that somehow "karma" is getting to the Obama campaign as if this did not already exist. It is just now more prevalent.

Vote for the person, not the party.
