McCain's Indiana Headquarters

by: Wilson46201

Fri Aug 08, 2008 at 11:12:14 AM EDT

(I am nearing the halfway point of the movefromhell, which has unfortunately swallowed up my entire weekend. Luckily, some of you have been hard at work, and this diary has prompted quite the reaction elsewhere. Good stuff. - promoted by Thomas)

Recently the rightwing GOP blogosphere has been indulging in a frenzy of self-delusion and self-deception about the non-existence of any Indiana Barack Obama for President campaign headquarters. Petty bigot and smalltown gossip Gary Welsh is fully convinced the Obama Campaign is all smoke and mirrors in this state.

Well, on my way downtown to 850 N. Meridian, Obama's local Indianapolis "United for Change" offices, I accidently encountered the McCain Indiana Headquarters.

Muncie office exists. (4.00 / 1)
Just wanted to confirm that the office in Muncie is, indeed, active and open. I've been there once. My roommate has been there twice. When I went it was a bustling place with precinct maps all over the tables and several volunteers performing various duties.

"It is the first responsibility of every citizen to question authority."  --Benjamin Franklin

Yes, even Democratic authority.

Not only exists but (4.00 / 3)
has 25 phone lines active and staffed with people waiting to make calls!

Richmond Indiana office opened last week as well.

And same in Lafayette.. (4.00 / 1)
in fact, they are so up and efficient that the local party minions are pissed that they have money and such and NOT using Co Party headquarters.

By the way, Gary is a fathead who's soooo gonna need counseling after this election.

My non-existent family and I attended a cookout with 60 (4.00 / 1)
other non-existent people in Obama's non-existent Kokomo office last Sunday. We enjoyed non-existent hot dogs, non-existent hamburgers and other non-existent goodies. My non-existent wife and I also did some non-existent canvassing for Obama. And according to Jim Wick, the non-existent organizer there, they recently registered 250 non-existent voters.

Those non-existent Obama supporters and offices are going to bite McCain in the very real ass in November.

I love Republicans--especially flame-broiled.

nonexistent voting registration (4.00 / 2)
I did some nonexistent voter registration via the Obama office at Value City.  I registered 59 people in about 4 hours.  OOPS,  those must have been nonexistent people.  I have friends who have been doing registration all over this county including riding the IndyGo buses and registering people who board the bus.  Gary is in a very serious stage of denial. He is still trying to prove that Obama is not an offical U.S. citizen eligible to be president.  Does he ever do anything to promote his candidate or is it always trying to smear Obama?  I also registered my nonexistent brother in law who usually is a republican but not this year.

My first time on the dailykos rec list. (0.00 / 0)
Many thanks to wilson, you, and daily activist.

This post really boiled my blood (4.00 / 1)
I can't believe how pathetic and ignorant Republicans reduce themselves to. They are just kicking and crying because McCain doesn't give a crap about Indiana. They don't even take it upon themselves to actually SEE that there are offices, they just plug their ears and pretend Obama isn't fighting for the Hoosier vote. GOD it's good to be a Democrat.

And to continue... (4.00 / 2)
I've been working at the nonexistent Muncie office, too.
