McCain may be a war hero, but he is AWOL on The Economy

by: Barry Welsh

Cross posted from Daily Kos
For those that don't know, I am Barry Welsh and I am the Democratic Party Candidate for Congress in Indiana's 6th District.  My opponent is Mike Pence.

The Campaign for Change held a forum in my district today to announce the Obama Economic package and in the forum compared it to the McCain Economic plan.

If you read no further, read this; The McCain plan is NOT more of the same.  It is not A 3rd Bush Term.  It is much much worse.

Barry Welsh :: McCain may be a war hero, but he is AWOL on The Economy
Gene Sperling explained the plan and gave comparisons to McCain.  Former Lt. Governor, and brilliant person, Kathy Davis, gave an Indiana touch.  I was honored to be invited as a special guest.

I advise everyone to check the two positions on the Nation's economy and inform all in your spheres of influence that this country can not afford John McCain, and cannot afford to not have Barack Obama.

This election is too important.  We cannot let it be about skin color, as it is at the moment for more than a few in my own district, and I readily admit to that, and will work for the next three months to change that but even so we won't get them all.  We cannot let this election be about lies, whether they be lies about faith, family or function.  We must call the Republicans on their lies when they are used as attacks, and when they are used to make themselves look better.  A lie is a lie.  We cannot let this election be about anything the Republicans try to make it about.

This election should be about the economy which touches everyone.  The contrasts are stark in the positions of the two candidates.  Point it out to everyone you know, please, or just tell them, John MeCain may be a war hero, but he is AWOL on the economy,

Soon, I will give a campaign update, but wanted to get this out ASAP, and this was the first chance I had.  Things are busy.

Thanks for reading and I will be in the comments for a few minutes.

Oh yeah, did I tell you, you guys Rock?  Well you do!

Barry

I agree, and that why we need to talk... (0.00 / 0)
We have a Veedersburg retiree who is spending his retirement money and time to educate us about the economy, and his message is one that you should shout from the mountain top!

T.E. Scott and Crazyman's Economics would bring a campaign focus on the economy that would appeal to the average Hoosier who is suffering through these hard times.

Good luck and give us a call when you want to get together.
